Tomorrow, head down to the Sprint Pavilion in downtown Charlottesville and soak up the fun at the 8th annual Cville Pride Festival. Festivities take place from 11 AM until 7 PM and are free.
The Festival this year features more than 60 vendors from throughout Central Virginia, music, dancing, drag, food and drink. Family-friendly activities include a giant kid area, with moon bounce, face-painting, and balloons.
The festival will also present the Walk in My Shoes Closet Experience, a special immersive activity that allows participants to see the world through the perspective of someone of a different gender by existing as and engaging directly with this other gender identity.
Cvill Pride is produced by the Charlottesville Pride Community Network, a non-profit organization with the goal of “creating a vibrant, visible, and inclusive LGBTQ community presence in Charlottesville, Albemarle, and the surrounding region that promotes equality through events, education, outreach, and advocacy.”
In 2018, the festival drew 8,000 people to the downtown Sprint Pavilion. Get more details on the festival at Cville Pride.
